Winter is a fantastic time of year for yummy treats and beautiful wedding food. Incorporate Christmas elements, New Year’s, and even Thanksgiving (if you’re feeling adventurous…).

We’ve taken our favourite food and drink ideas for a winter wedding from Pinterest to inspire you for this year or next year.

Hot stuff

The cold weather can be a bit a blessing on a wedding day. It allows you to serve tasty indulgences such as hot chocolate and mulled wine, keeping your guests warm and their tummies full. Check out the canapès from our very own Parklands kitchen too! We also serve mini soups (similar to the image below) at all of our venues as well.

White

winter wedding wouldn’t be complete without something white (other than the dress!) to reflect the frostiness of the season. Why not try greeting your guests at the reception with a white martini rather than the more traditional flute of champagne?

Wedding cakes

This is the season where you can add pine-cones, holly leaves, berries, and a whole other plethora of winter goodies to your wedding cake. Make subtle touches or simply go all out and turn your cake into the main winter feature of the wedding. Here’s some of our favourites:
